The tabla has been a constant since junior school, shaping my love for music and deepening my connection to my cultural roots. My dedication led to earning a CCRT scholarship from the Government of India, and at age 11, I performed my first concert in Boston.
This experience highlighted music’s global reach and strengthened my passion for it. It also gave birth to my love for performing. Moving forward, I’ve played a key role in all my school’s performances and events, where I’ve learned invaluable lessons in discipline and collaboration. The tabla has been a creative outlet, grounding me and helping me express myself while staying connected to my heritage. Having trained under the maestro, Aditya Kalyanpur—Ust Zakhir Hussain’s disciple—has been one of the biggest blessings. Aditya Bhaiya has shaped me as a musician and instilled values in me without which I would never have been where I am today.
Thanks to his guidance and support, I have advanced in the instrument.
